Indoor Air Quality

The EPA ranks indoor air quality as one of the most important environmental concerns in America, partly because we spend so much of our time indoors. Unfortunately, though, we cannot actually see the quality of our air; rarely are contaminants or pollutants visible to the naked eye.

Contaminants like mold are directly linked to severe breathing problems like asthma. Radon in homes is the second leading cause of lung cancer in America, according to the Surgeon General. When not the direct cause, contaminants and pollutants exacerbate health problems, so it is critical to maintain a high quality indoor environment.

Since you cannot see these airborne contaminants, it is critical to find a reputable testing agency to determine the air quality of your home or business.

Carolina RES, Inc. is an experienced air quality testing company. We offer professional, scientific air quality testing services for your home. We test for a range of pollutants and contaminants, including mold, black mold and other allergens.
Our scientific approach is a good way to access potential threats. After the testing process is complete, we provide reporting that illustrates the types and amounts of common pollutants in the air.

How Is Mold Testing Done?

Understanding the process helps you to know what you can expect.

Testing The Air – Air sampling is the process used to check the air in your home for mold spores. The testing company will use a spore trap to do just that. The spore trap will collect samples of air inside your home. Those samples can be tested for mold spore presence. If there are mold spores detected in the air, you’ll also find out exactly what type they are and how concentrated they are in the space.
